Thomas Wayne Etheridge

Thomas Wayne Etheridge, age 82, of Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026.

A funeral service will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Georgia at 12 PM on Monday, April 20, 2026. Visitation will be held Monday, April 20, 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia followed by a procession to Andersonville National Cemetery.

Mr. Etheridge was born on July 24, 1943 to the late Thomas Marvin Etheridge and Louella Allen Etheridge. He was a member of Oglethorpe Methodist Church in Oglethorpe, Georgia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing with his grandchildren.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Brenda Etheridge; sister Diana Greene (Neal); two children, Sherry McConnell (Richard), and Kathy Wimberley (Ben); five grandchildren, Nicholas Allen (Victoria), Ashley Cooper (Riley), Ragan McConnell, Dustin Wimberley (Alyssa), and Devin Wimberley (Deas); and seven great-grandchildren, Stephen Allen, Asher Allen, James Wimberley, Charlotte Wimberley, Elizabeth Wimberley, Lorraine Wimberley, and Lilly Wimberley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Louella Etheridge; and two sisters, Shelby Parker, and Erylene Peaster.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia.
