Stoney James Benford

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, February 20, 2021, at the Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Benford will lie in state at the funeral home from 9 AM to 5 PM on Thursday and until the day of the service.
Social distancing guidelines will be in effect and masks will be required by those attending as we are following the guidelines of the local health district and the CDC.
Mr. Benford was born on September 24, 1944, in Montezuma, GA to the late Felton Jule Benford and Allie Pearl Harris Benford. He owned and operated Benford Waterwell Services for over 50 plus years. He loved fishing, hunting, working, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nedra Cromer Benford; sister, Laura Jean Benford; four brothers, Willie Benford, Neal Benford, Jack Benford, and Raymond Benford.
He is survived by his two daughters, Terry Benford Christie of Perry, GA and Candy Elaine Bellew (Ernie) of Oglethorpe, GA; His fianc, Janice Thompson of Oglethorpe, GA; three sisters, Myrtice Benford of Marshallville, GA, Pearl Rimes of Oglethorpe, GA and Claudia Wright of Eastman, GA; two brothers, Tony Benford (Fannie) of Buena Vista, GA and Benny Benford of Oglethorpe, GA. Four grandchildren, Kent Reagan II (Julia), Lance Reagan (Jessica), Christopher Bellew, and Angel Noteware; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Reagan II, Aiden Reagan, Vivian Reagan, and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
