Sarah Fowler

Sarah Fowler, age 77, of Ideal Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4pm on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Ideal, Georgia. Visitation will be held at the church an hour prior to the service. Pastor Randy Harris will be officiating.

Sarah was born on October 11, 1948 to the late Robert Lee Buchanan Sr. and Sarah Lucille Countryman Buchanan. She was a member of Little Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Ideal, Georgia. She enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Fowler is survived by her siblings, Ann Grovenstein, Edna Turner, Robert Buchanan Jr. (Bertha) and Patricia Phipps; sister in law, Latan Buchanan; three children, Johnny Warren Bartlett Jr., Dusty Raybon (Jamey), and Adam Bartlett (Sherry); eight grandchildren, Jessica Bartlett (Stephen), Kassidy Bartlett (John) Ashlyn Bartlett, Jonathan Jones, Dylan Jones, Shelbi Roberts (Nick), Kipp Aldridge, and Hayden Bartlett (Audrey); seven great-grandchildren, Cayden Strader, Eli Jones, Lilly Jones, Kinsley Jones, Winnie Jones, Waylon Jones, and Dalton Roberts; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Fred Fowler; parents, Robert and Lucille Buchanan; brother, Davis Buchanan, and brother-in-law, Lewis Grovenstein.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia.
