DALTON, GA - Mr. Ruben Peavy, age 75, of Dalton, GA, formerly of Fort Valley, GA, passed away, Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Ridgewood Manor & Rehabilitation Center in Dalton, GA.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial with military honors will follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma.

Mr. Peavy was born on January 31, 1937 in Montezuma, GA to the late Julius Peavy and Jessie Mae Smith Peavy. He was a retired mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Daughter - Dawn Dill of Tunnel Hill, GA

Two Sons - Sammy Peavy of Calhoun, GA
David O'Rourke of Jacksonville, FL

Granddaughter - Lexus Dill of Tunnel Hill, GA

Two Sisters - Inez Collier of Byromville, GA
Velma (Tom) Fowler of Rupert, GA

Brother - J.B. (Minnie) Peavy of Montezuma, GA

and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of funeral arrangements.
