Robert Paul Yoder was born September 18, 1946 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was the youngest child of the late Elmer M and Malinda (Miller) Yoder. In 1964 he moved to Montezuma, Georgia and served the next two years in 1W service at hospital Americus, Georgia hospital.
On August 12, 1966 he married Amanda C Yoder, the two celebrated 59 years together. Concluding his 1W service he delivered milk for Foremost Dairies. On the heels of selling his milk route, in May of 1970 they bought the home place aka Bush Hollow Farms where they raised their seven children, loved on their neighbors and made an impact on the larger community for the Lord. Robert Paul was a longtime member of the Gospel Light Mennonite Church and nearly as long the church caretaker/janitor. He also took a spin behind the wheel of a school bus for a private school and planted seeds in the hearts of many a child during those 4 years.
After 79 years 8 months and 25 days, surrounded by his loving family Robert Paul was peacefully called from this earthly home on June 13, 2026.
Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Henry, Alva and Melvin Yoder, sister Laura Yoder (affectionately known as Lulu) and great granddaughter Desiree Nevaeh Wingard.
Survived by: Wife Amanda C Yoder of the home, Robert Wendell Yoder of California, Jonathan and Connie Yoder of Montezuma, Georgia, Arlen and Rhonda Yoder of Thomas, Oklahoma, Christian Wayne Yoder, Melvin and Makayla Yoder, Malinda and Jasper Riehl, Lavon and Janessa Yoder all of Montezuma Georgia. 20 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, Sister-in-law Ruth Yoder.
Visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Word of Life Christian Fellowship in Montezuma, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Gospel Light Mennonite Church.
