Mr. Robert Michael ‘Mike’ Underwood, age 83, of Ponte Vedra, FL passed away, Monday, August 11, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am at Felton Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Mike was born on July 27, 1942 in Montezuma, GA to the late Robert Underwood and Ruth Nell Puckett Underwood. Mike was an engineering graduate of Georgia Tech and worked as a civil engineer for the Georgia Department of Transportation in Atlanta for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Juanita Underwood, of Ponte Vedra, Florida and one nephew, Matthew Underwood, of Ponte Vedra, Florida, and one niece, Rachel Haygood (Underwood), of Rome, GA.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Nell Underwood and his two brothers, Joel ‘Joe’ Underwood and William “Bill” Underwood as well as his parents.
