Nancy Carol Cheek

Nancy Carol Cheek passed away peacefully at Pine Point Hospice on September 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 85.

Nancy was born on July 7, 1941, in Washington, D.C. Over the course of her life, she devoted herself to meaningful work. She worked with the Central Intelligence Agency and the Two Rivers Native American Training Center, and later in life she served as a chaplain. Her work reflected a life of service, dedication, and care for others.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra ( Andy) Windham of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Sierra (Jake) Vavra of Duluth, Georgia. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jessica Windham and George (Kristina) Windham and 3 great grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, William Law; her mother, Lois Binzer; her stepfather, George Binzer; her former spouse, Raymond Cheek; her brother, Richard Law; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Law.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Still Water Chapel, 3550 Georgia 240, Ideal, Georgia 31041.

Nancy will be remembered with love by her family and by those whose lives were touched by her work and presence.
