Mary Duke Mashburn died on March 24, 2020, at the age of 104.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Montezuma on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 12:00 noon.Pastor Joe Tessin will be officiating the service.
Following the memorial service, there will be a graveside gathering at the Mashburn family plot at Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla, Georgia, where Mary will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
Family and friends will have light refreshments served in the church fellowship hall at 11:00 a.m.

She was born on July 27, 1915, in Montezuma, Georgia, the daughter of Ernest Carlton and Bethany Powell Duke. Mary married William A. Mashburn on September 27, 1936. They were married for 60 years until his death in 1996.
She is survived by two children, William A. Mashburn, Jr. of Monrovia, Maryland, and Bethany M. Edwards of Birkenhead, England, and two grandchildren, Robert A. Mashburn of Greenville, SC and David C. Mashburn of Rockville, MD, and six great-grandchildren.
Mary taught for 32 years at the private kindergarten she started in 1955. Many of her students were the children and grandchildren of some of her original classes.
She was a devout and loving member of the First Baptist Church of Montezuma, Georgia for 93 years.
