Sue Kitchens

Sue Kitchens, age 79 of Americus, Georgia., was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 28, 2022 at Montezuma Health and Rehab in Montezuma, Georgia.

Sue was born December 31, 1941 in Americus, Georgia, where she lived her entire life. Her parents were the late Katherine Kitchens and John Henry Kitchens. She was the sister of the late Margaret Ann Smith (Malcolm) and John Thomas Kitchens. Sue is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sue grew up being a member of First Baptist Church in Americus.

Mrs. Kitchens graduated from Americus High School. She worked for several years in bookkeeping for Sumter Electric. Sue later went on to GSW College and received her Masters degree in Education and taught accounting at Americus High School for a short time. She then received her license in real estate and was an agent for a short time. Sue then went on to her bachelor of science degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse. Ms. Kitchens retired from nursing after working at several different medical facilities. She loved animals and loved caring for her pets and enjoying the outdoors.

Sue will be buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens with a private family service. In lieu of flowers please make all donations to the local humane society.
