Mary Hortman Howell

Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Jennie Peterson and Rev. Curtis Kirksey officiating the service. Burial will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery.
She was born in Butler, Ga to the late Oliver Hortman and Lucille Posey Hortman. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hugh Howell, sister, Gloria Hortman; three brothers, Obie Hortman, Bobby Hortman and Hollis Hortman.
She is survived by her 5 children, Elaine Woodard, Marty Youngblood and his wife Terina, Darren Howell, Kenneth Howell and Duwayne Woodard all of Oglethorpe, Ga; 2 step-sons, David Howell and his wife Leann of South Carolina and Mark Howell and his wife Margie of Locust Grove, Ga; 2 sisters, Minnie Matthews of Fort Valley, Ga and Geneva Mullinex and her husband J.D. of Milledgeville, Ga; 2 brothers, Fred Hortman and his wife Eleanor of Macon, Ga and Harold Hortman of Fort Valley, Ga; mother-in-law, Mabel Howell of Macon, Ga; 12 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends also survive.
