Larry L. "Pete" Jinks

October 31, 1945 — October 9, 2008

Mr. Larry Lemuel "Pete" Jinks, age 62 of Ideal, GA passed away Thursday morning, October 9, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 11, at the Little Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Ideal with Rev. Phil Streetman, Rev. Randy Harris and Rev. Sidney Jones officiating. Burial will follow inthe church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, October 10, at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.

He was born on October 31, 1945 in Macon County, GA to Clarice Fowler Jinks and the late Randol Jinks. He was a member of Little Bethel Free Will Baptist Church and attended Sunday school for 48 years without missing a Sunday. He was a devoted son and brother and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Morrell.

Survivors include his loving mother, Clarice Fowler Jinks of Ideal, GA; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie Marshall of Oglethorpe, GA, Bonnie and Larry Simmons of Oglethorpe, GA, Cathy and Larry Layfield of Reynolds, GA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, his twin brother Harry and Pat Jinks of Ball Ground, GA, Curtis and Patricia Jinks of Ideal, GA; 10 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Little Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 1180 Little Bethel Road, Ideal, GA 31041 or the local American Cancer Society, 120 South Dooly Street, Montezuma, GA 31063.
