John Michael Hudson

John Michael Hudson, 45 years old, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026.

He lived a life with a spirit of adventure and a heart larger than life itself. John enjoyed live music and attended as many live concerts as he could. He was a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and never missed a chance to cheer them on. He also found peace and happiness in the great outdoors, where he enjoyed nature, adventure, and making great memories with those he loved. A proud veteran of the United States Army, John served his country during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he drove a Bradley armored vehicle during the invasion. He carried that same courage, loyalty, and strength throughout his life.

John had a witty personality and great landscaping talents. John was also proud to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout during high school reflecting his hard working character, leadership, and love for the outdoors from an early age.

John is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willie and Lucille Hudson and his maternal grandparents, William and Rebecca Pinckney. He is survived by his loving parents, Bobby and Joann Hudson along with many dear friends and extended family members who loved him deeply.

He will be remembered for his kind Heart, adventurous spirit, loyalty to those he loved, and the laughter and memories he showed so freely. Visitation will be 6 to 7 PM on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 at Watson Matthews funeral home. Funeral will be at St Michael’s Catholic Church, Montezuma, Georgia at 11 AM Thursday, May 21st, 2026. A rosary will be prayed in John‘s honor at 10:30 AM at the church prior to the funeral service.
