Joel Underwood

Mr. Joel Underwood, age 78, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away, Monday, November 14, 2022 in Jeffersonville, Georgia.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am at Felton Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Joel was born on November 11, 1944 in Montezuma, GA to the late Robert Underwood and Ruth Nell Puckett Underwood. Joel was a Surveyor for the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia.

Joel is survived by his two brothers, Robert “Mike” Underwood of Atlanta, Georgia and William “Bill” Underwood and his wife Juanita of Ponte Vedra, Florida, a niece, Rachel Underwood Haygood of Rome, Georgia and a nephew, Matthew Underwood of Ponte Vedra, Florida.

Joel was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Nell Underwood.
