Gladys Lee Britnell Gregg, 87, formerly of Hamilton, AL died peacefully on December 10, 2009 in Marshallville, GA. She was born on June 21, 1922 to the late Charlie and Ivy Britnell. She married Harrison T. Gregg Jr. and they raised two boys, Robert and Randy. Mrs. Gregg was committed to her work wherever she lived. Over her career, she worked at Colgate Shirt Factory, Barwick Carpet Mill, Imperial Cup Factory, Holiday Inn, and Patricia's Restuarant. While living in LaFayette, GA for approximately, 20 years she was very active in Second Baptist Church where she taught a Sunday School Class and sang in the church choir. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harrison T. Gregg, Jr., brothers, Edward Britnell, Hubert Britnell, Bill Britnell, and sister, Dessie Howell.

She is survived by her brothers Max and Jimmy Britnell and sister, Linda She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Robert and Rosemary Gregg of Birmingham, AL, and Randy and Dianne Gregg of Montezuma, GA. She also has five grandchildren: Shannon and Sonnet Gregg of Washington D.C., John Gregg of Washington D.C., Tyler Gregg of Washington D.C., Lindsay and Todd Peaster of Madison, GA, and Laura and Michael Hardester of Americus, GA and three great grandchildren, Harrison and Grant Peaster and Lily Jane Hardester.

Dr. Randy Gregg will officiate at a funeral service which will be held on Saturday, December 12, at Poplar Log Freewill Baptist Church in Hamilton, AL.

The family will receive visitors at 10: 00 AM and the service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Poplar Log Freewill Baptist Church of Hamilton, AL.

Hamilton Funeral Home of Hamilton, Alabama and Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma, Georgia will be conducting the funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Lee Britnell Gregg.
