Charlie Lee Griffin Jr., 91, of Oglethorpe, GA, died May 29, 2025 at The Willson Hospice House in Albany, GA. A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Valley Baptist Church.

Charlie was born in Eva, AL on January 17, 1934 to Charlie Lee and Doris Griffin, Sr. He was raised in the Macon County, GA except the time he served his country in The United States Marine Corps. Charlie was employed with the Tom Thumb Glove Company in Roberta as a Machinist for many years. He loved to fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Tommy Griffin, Howard Griffin, Melvin Griffin and Rutha Mae Holloway.

Survivors include his children, Kathy Morris of Perry, GA and Gene (Jackie) Griffin of Montezuma, GA and Wanda Griffin of Vienna GA, the mother of his children, Sarah Griffin of Oglethorpe, GA, a brother, Newton Griffin, his grandchildren, Chelsea Mathews Stewart of Montezuma, GA, Ashley (Kelly) Jones of Oglethorpe. GA, Brittany (Lewis) Esh of Montezuma, GA and Lee Griffin and Stephanie (Bobby) Avery all of Oglethorpe, GA and eleven great-grandchildren.
