Vincent K Godfrey, 44, of Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Brightmoor Hospice in Macon, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Mt Zion-St Luke Lutheran Church, located at 401 North Randolph Street in Oglethorpe, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship, share memories, and express gratitude for Vincent’s life and the impact he had on others. Vincent was born December 12, 1980, in Americus, Georgia to the late Harry Milton Godfrey and Dale Evelyn Coogle Godfrey. He grew up in Oglethorpe, Georgia, attending Macon County schools and The King's Academy in Americus, Georgia. Vincent enjoyed collecting guns, watching anime, playing video games, listening to music, and sitting around the campfire with his friends. He enjoyed building models and displaying them, and he also had a passion for gold panning. He loved driving trucks and was very proud when he got his CDL. As mentioned, he was preceded in death by his father, and also by his grandparents Elmer and Velma Godfrey of Oglethorpe and Roy and Doris Coogle of Oglethorpe. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Maranda Godfrey; his adoring mother, Dale Godfrey; his beloved daughters Valkyrie and Alita Godfrey, all of Oglethorpe, Georgia; a brother, Brian Godfrey (Ami), of Macon, Georgia; several nieces and nephews, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Vincent’s name to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org.
