Bobby J. Culpepper, age 84, of Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 1 PM to 2 PM at First Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM at the church. Burial will follow at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park in Montezuma, Georgia.
Mr. Bobby was born on October 25, 1940, to the late Bob Clinton Culpepper and Virginia Martha Summerlin. He was a devoted member/deacon of First Baptist Church of Montezuma for over 45 years. Bobby dedicated much of his life to farming, a profession he pursued with hard work and pride. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, treasuring every moment together.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Delores Culpepper; two children, Clint Culpepper (Wilma) of White, Georgia, and Keith Culpepper (Kathleen) of Warner Robins, Georgia; one grandson, Garrett Culpepper of Warner Robins, Georgia; and brother, Dan Culpepper (Monica) of Germany; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob Culpepper and Virginia Summerlin; as well as two sisters, Vivian Purser and Evon Wiley.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville, Georgia for the great care they took of Mr. Bobby.
In lieu of flowers donations are to be made to First Baptist church Montezuma, P.O. Box 357, Montezuma, Ga 31063.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia.
