Adria Thomas Payne

She was born September 2, 1946 in Eastman to the late A.L. Thomas and Sarah Bertis Hooks Thomas. Mrs. Payne was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a faithful member of Whitewater Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Whitewater Baptist Church in Oglethorpe with Bro. Chris Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Dave McChargue of Perry; her son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Elizabeth Payne of Perry; and eight grandchildren: Tyler Wilson, Allen McChargue, Kaley Payne, Michael Taylor, Nathan Barfield, Allison McChargue, Seth Taylor, and Laney Ann McChargue. Also surviving are her step-mother, Sue Thomas of Eastman; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenny and Cheryl Thomas of Cochran, and Tommy and Lucy Thomas of Virginia Beach, VA.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Payne.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Whitewater Baptist Church, 1955 Ga Hwy 128, Oglethorpe, GA 31068.
